Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):

 To own the delivery of UX research artefacts for multiple projects which are delivered via the UX as a Service framework (human-centred & agile) and to clear acceptance criteria.
. To facilitate ideation workshops.
. To drive regular quality and peer reviews such as retrospectives and post-mortems.
. To work independently to select the most appropriate methodology for the engagement.
. To use complex UX data analysis and insight to show underlying principles, process, system or experiences to influence design decisions and validate their success.
. To partner internally and externally to develop understandings of new technologies and their implementation.
. To contribute towards a high-performing culture demonstrating thought leadership and continuous improvement.
. To broaden skill set and knowledge base whilst learning and exploring new ideas to encourage new ways of thinking.

Key Skills/Knowledge:
. Understands, and can judiciously employ, appropriate UX research practices to embed UX principles and implements processes to ensure their application.
. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and seeks opportunities to create a brilliant customer experience by breaking down problems and building strong relationships.
. Uses internal commercial insight and latest external thinking to develop and implement ideas.
. Understands, uses and advocates the use of human-centred design to improve products and services inside BT.
. Capable of delivering multiple projects to time, cost and quality controls.
. Expert and nuanced communicator, in written and verbal formats including presentations.
. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to interpret stakeholders' true opinions through their mannerisms, actions, and verbal communications.
Experience required:
. Highly likely to possess a qualification to degree level, preferably in a discipline such as Design, Visual Design, Computer Science, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology or Ergonomics.
. Will have multiple experiences of working within Agile, Design Thinking or Lean squads, with elements of accountability and leadership in UX design to drive business outcomes.
. Will have some experience of data analysis and web analytics and acting on both quantitative and qualitative data to drive design improvements.
. 9 to 10 Years' experience working as UX Researcher
