Description
Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Content Designer for an initial contract until May 2022 on a rate of £400/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:
- creating and maintaining the content plan for the development and maintenance of user-centred content.
- working with the service designer to understand the information touchpoints within the service and develop the associated content requirements
- working with colleagues to identify, document and refine user needs and translate them into content requirements as part of the content plan
- prototyping and iterating content based on user insights and continuous improvement of live content across the service
- work with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) in the Digital Directorate to understand existing content landscape and staff user needs
- ensure any unique self-help content created meets content standards, is accessible, and has appropriate governance documented in the content plan
- support team members to create comms materials such as blog posts, aligning to best practice
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content.
- Proven experience in using data and user feedback to define and refine content.
- Proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in working with content publishing systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Delivering projects and/or services involving digital publishing/enterprise level content management systems.
- Experience of delivering projects and/or services to the Digital First Standard
- Experience of delivering support services under the ITIL framework
