Description

The Event Intern will provide management and coordination support to the overall CarFest development department.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support and attend special meetings and community event activities
  • Assist in sponsorships, vendor organization and in-kind requests (both written and verbal)
  • Produce event timelines, campaign coordination, write targeted e-newsletters
  • Assist with developing presentations for guest speakers
  • Coordinate closely with the marketing team on social media, collateral, and web content to promote events
  • Assist and perform daily office tasks

Other

  • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Hours may vary from the standard 9 am - 6 pm. Evening & Weekends may be required.
  • Must be available to assist the weekend of the event April 8-10, 2022

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Dependable, reliable, honest, & trustworthy
  • Self-motivated, flexible team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask, and the ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Comfort with soliciting/interacting with individuals & companies face-to-face, on the phone or via mail/email
  • Research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Docs/Sheets) applications
  • Ability to work 15 - 20 hours per week. Office Hours are Mon - Fri, 9 am to 6 pm
