Copy Writer

Inside IR35

6 months

Hybrid position 2 days a week in London - 3 days remote

My client are a insurance broking group and they are looking for a Copywriter on a 6 month initial contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support on the delivery of the communication strategy in conjunction with the Project Champion communications workstream
  • Work across businesses to produce and maintain a continuous content calendar designed to increase engagement with relevant audiences
  • Ensure organisational initiatives and integration updates are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of channels
  • Support creation of content around organisational events such as town halls and regional conferences, to include presentations, invites, post event communications and social media during the event
  • Support regional offices and teams across the three businesses to ensure key messages are understood and cascaded
  • Ensure communications messages are consistent across internal and external comms
  • Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering content and keep up-to-date with the latest digital communication trends
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of digital channels/activities using tools, feeding back to stakeholders and using the data to inform future activities
  • Act as an employee advocate and champion employee engagement methodologies

Key Skills

  • Understanding of change communications
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees in a sensitive way
  • Proven experience in a content creator or communications role, working with senior leadership
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - ability to relay company values and goals to employees
  • Listening and influencing skills. The confidence to deal with senior leadership and explain communication techniques to them, as well as advise and where necessary offer an alternative point of view
  • Strong and proven experience of using a wide range of communications tools such as e-marketing tools, digital and social media
  • Experience of video production, including filming, editing and delivering via channels eg Vimeo and Workplace.
  • The ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects
  • Understanding of how to manage and deliver effective communications in large complex organisations
