Description

In this role, you'll partner closely with our engineering and product team, playing an integral part in our product design processes and workflows as we continue to build and develop our existing and new products on our roadmap.

If you're passionate about product design, but have a keen eye for process and workflows, and want to be a part of solving real problems in a critical industry, then please keep reading!

**A link to your online portfolio, or a PDF, is required. Applications without a portfolio are unlikely to be considered. Please include a password to your portfolio & ensure that your portfolio link is live. If your portfolio is still WIP, please include a link to other unfinished work so that we can see how you think/solve design challenges

What you'll do in this role:
  • Lead product design efforts utilizing design best practices and contribute to product strategy
  • Develop multiple solutions across the entire product lifecycle and manage launches in a fast-paced environment.
  • Incorporate human-centered design techniques to identify pain points, generate ideas, help define requirements, and drive design initiatives in a lean, agile environment.
  • Work with small multi-disciplinary teams. You'll partner closely with engineering, product, and business folks to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges
  • Advocate and be the voice for our users; understand the jobs they are trying to accomplish, their pain points, unmet needs, and be able to translate feedback into strategic solutions. Partner with internal stakeholders to uncover additional use cases, define effective user flows, partner with product/development to bring new features to life that solve pain points of users
  • Day to day work includes conducting user research, producing wireframes and user flows, prototyping at varying levels of fidelity, and validating concepts with end-users and stakeholders to turn insights into value-adding features and actionable deliverables
  • Help develop, further define, and apply our goals/culture, methodologies, to design practice
  • Clearly present your ideas, designs, and decisions to stakeholders and fellow designers
  • Overall, contribute to product team growth, vision, and strategy. You like defining process as you go, you enjoy influencing others--but you're in design because you enjoy solving product challenges with design tools

You're an Excellent Fit for this Role if You Bring:
  • 4+ years at design-driven technology companies or startups within a SaaS/ecommerce/internal product
  • A user-focused design mentality. You look to understand user needs in order to hone your design instincts, whether that be through user feedback or designing options for A/B tests to rapidly iterate and validate your hypotheses. Visual design and UX design are tools in your tool box.
  • You have the communication skills/ability to build rapport to help define frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts. You also can work cross-functionally to involve product, engineering, and business stakeholders in the design process.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability. You love to break down and simplify complex problems and you are confident to present to mixed audiences at different levels of the organization.
  • A love of dreaming up innovative, human-centered solutions for an industry that employs 3 million truck drivers and powers the domestic economy. You have a knack for inspiring others to see opportunities for innovation as well.
  • A bias toward action; if you're blocked, you find creative solutions to get around the obstacle. Your work doesn't end when features ship, but rather when it's accomplished the objectives you defined before you ever got started
  • You have an online portfolio that showcases your work.

  • This role is 100% remote, however we have offices in New York, NY and Atlanta, GA, so if you live near these places, you're welcome to come in as you'd like.
  • We are offering a market competitive salary depending on experience level, scope, and geographic location, which includes base cash salary as well as Restricted Stock Units (equity).
  • We offer 100% company paid medical, dental, and vision health benefit premiums. That's $0 out of your paycheck!
  • We offer 3 months of parental leave, fertility coverage, childcare support, pet insurance, gym reimbursement, unlimited sick days, generous PTO, and have 7 company holidays + 3 floating holidays.
  • Career growth! We are growing quickly and prioritize developing our teams to meet their full potential and promoting from within.
