Senior Product Designer - £ Per Day (Inside IR35) - Long Term ContractOverview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, a major multinational retailer for a Senior Product Designer to define and create best in class digital design, drive human-centric design processes.
The role is both strategic and hands-on. Through facilitation and strong communication as part of a multi-discipline team, driving future vision to guide the creation of a viable, feasible, accessible, and usable experience across web and mobile.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide design expertise and leadership to assigned product or service areas
- Use appropriate quantitative and qualitative data and insights about customer needs and behaviours to drive and define design directions, and definitions of success through a range of human-centric design methods
- Organise and facilitate workshops and collaborative design sessions to ensure positive stakeholder and cross-functional engagement
- Conceptualise, develop and document innovative information organization structures, interaction designs, page-level content organisation, navigation, and prototypes of digital products
- Develop user interface designs using knowledge of customer tasks, product functionality requirements, knowledge of user interface architecture, knowledge of UI best practice, and industry/company interface standards
- Develop appropriate prototypes of designs/concepts to meet user research and communication needs
- Delivery and presentation of relevant deliverables as required by the projects (such as creative briefs, concepts, digital assets, style guides, pattern libraries, etc)
- Support Front End developers with requisite digital assets and specifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of design experience. Online retail is a bonus
- BA/MA degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related/equivalent practical experience
- Familiar with working in an Agile environment
- Understanding of different UX research methods and how to apply them
- Workshop skills to gather requirements/feedback and communicate design concepts to business stakeholders
- Create design guides and pattern libraries across all channels and adhere to established design guides
- Wireframes, prototyping and specifications as appropriate to deliver within an agile environment
- Sketch & Adobe Creative Suite skills plus prototyping tools such as Axure, Principle, ProtoPie, InVision & Keynote
- Strong knowledge of responsive design methods, scalable designs and UI frameworks including web, iOS and Android
- Understanding of Front End code and engineering concepts
Contract Details:
- Rate - £550-£650 per day
- 3 month rolling contract - long term
- Location - London/hybrid
