Required Skills:
Essential:
- Leading on the creation and development of wireframes and visual prototypes
- GDS principles applied throughout the service
- Collect, collate and analysis of user research data and insights, documenting findings, and presenting information in a clear format
- User Centred Design - optimising UX and system performance: User Journey flow, navigation structure, layout and design, ease of system use, to help and inform design decisions
- Prototyping/Wireframing - use of a wireframing tool like Axure, Figma, Adobe CS to allow stakeholders to easily visualise the service and further develop and refine requirements
- Design Systems/Style Guides including compliance with WCAG 2.0 (or better) accessibility standards, reusable components, content catalogues and documentation; ensuring the UX solution correctly transitions into development.
Desirable:
- Heuristic Evaluation (Expert Review) - review the existing system against accepted usability principles, delivering a list of potential usability issues (system status, user control and freedom, consistency and standards, error prevention and messaging, recognition over recall, efficiency of use, minimalist design, helping users recover from errors, help and documentation)
- User Acceptance Testing - planning and running UX tests with users to ensure the service is offering a benefit to the users.
- Knowledge of development using Angular frame work
