Position: Freelance Social Media Editor

Rate: £125-£140pd

Adhoc basis, 8hr shifts, day and night shifts available, 7 days PW

Location: Ideally hybrid working, 2 days PW onsite

Industry: Mass Media Company

Job Description:

Our Social Media Editors will operate our English language accounts across a variety of platforms, creating engaging posts and content, interacting with our audiences and promoting the best of our coverage and output.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute against the social media strategy, content production and media approach for the client in the UK.
  • Work with our social media agencies, other local social media teams and support our content creation teams in executing best practices against that strategy.
  • Working with the Central strategy team who will set the right KPI's and strategy that supports the overall the clients Digital Goals.
  • Utilise our Social Media Guidelines and Playbook per platform for teams to work to and align our best practices.
  • Be the day to day relationship owner with our social audiences, keeping them engaged and enthused by the client and our content.
  • Read and react to weekly/monthly social media reporting from our insights team to make sure we are data led in our development.

Skills and requirements:

  • At least a year of experience managing social media accounts for a sports related brand.
  • A strong understanding of the social media landscape
  • A passion for digital and particularly social first content with an understanding around how that content is created and produced.
  • A passion for sports
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and within a team.
