Freelance Instructional Designer | 3 month contract + possible extensions | ASAP start | Inside IR35

A huge clients-side name are looking for an Instructional Designer to join their existing team on an exciting project.

The Role

  • Creates and maintains learning products based on established Learning.
  • Services standards. Creates and complies with Learning Services development standards such as templates, process documentation, etc. to ensure quality, usability, consistency, and effectiveness of learning products such as ILT, VLT, videos, exams, eLearning, and job aids.
  • Works tightly with instructors to develop materials that instructors WANT to use.
  • Conducts needs analysis and evaluation activities consistent with instructional design standards, and based on business unit priorities, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Solicits input and feedback from stakeholders, customers, peers, subject matter experts, etc. based on standard review processes.
  • Works as part of an agile scrum team and fully participates in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with intelligence and enthusiasm with the highest regard for the team whether working locally or remotely. Completes assigned stories and tasks on time with high quality.
  • Acts as an Instructor on an as-needed basis and certainly participates as lead instructor in train-the-trainer scenarios.
  • Complies with all backup and storage requirements to ensure the integrity of our learning products and source materials, protects our intellectual property, and complies with all company standards."

About you:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a product education environment
  • University degree educated or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the creation of technical learning for software products
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, eLearning, and virtual learning technologies
  • Must have exceptional communication and organisational skills, demonstrate initiative and work well in a team-based environment
  • Be a strategic thinker, results-oriented, and demonstrates a strong orientation toward outstanding customer service with a complete willingness to accept accountability for results"
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Skilled developer of digital visual arts including drawing, photography, and video production.
