Description
My client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a minimum of 6 month contract.They are based in Cumbria.
The Ideal candidate must have:
- Excellent working knowledge of Inventor
- Senior Mechanical Design experience
- Calculations
- Ability to communicate with clients and other disciplines
- Practical knowledge of installation methods
- P4 pass holder
- SC cleared
- Nuclear experience within the last 3 years
- HNC in relevant discipline along with a time served apprenticeship
- Degree in related engineering discipline (ideal not essential)
- 6 years minimum of engineering experience, or 4 years with a degree qualification ( at least 2 years nuclear experience )
Some of your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Ensuring that all work on a project meets client design specifications
- Supervision of all design team members
- Ensure continuity of workload for design team members
- Attend site surveys
- client liaising
- Check completed design deliverable against client specifications
