Description
My client is an NHS Trust based in London looking for a Clinical Lead / Service manager for continuing care. The contract is an initial 6 months with rates reflecting current experience.The successful candidate will have:
- 1st degree level or equivalent level of experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Current NMC Registration
They will also have experience in the following:
- Ability to manage themselves and own workload, delivering outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
- An effective delegator when required
- Able to motivate others not directly line managed by self
- Experience in managing change.
- Evidence of successfully working with a wide range of external organisations.
- Highly developed communication skills verbal and written
- Skills and experience in managing verbally and physically challenging behaviour, conflict and distress effectively.
- High level of skill in communicating policy change to key stakeholders, who may have opposing views, where the policy has a direct impact on service provision.
- Capability to work across boundaries and foster close collaboration
- High level critical thinking skills
- Initiation and delivery of innovative/appropriate ideas and solutions
- A clear understanding of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and NHS-funded Nursing care, the Single Assessment Process and other appropriate National Service Frameworks
- Will consider the most effective way to promote equality of opportunity and good working relationships.
- Flexibility, and the ability to handle a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment
- Articulate, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to travel freely
Desirable experience:
- ECDL or equivalent
- Working towards Masters level
- Certificate in management or equivalent internal training.
- Qualification in community nursing
- Experience of partnership working with other agencies
- Experience of commissioning
