Description

An NHS organisation based in the South are looking for an interim Workforce Assurance lead for a 3-6 contract to start immediately.

The candidate will provide specialist advice to a number of CCGs to gain workforce assurance with providers of commissioned services to ensure that patient safety is not compromised as a result of service changes and that workforce plans are aligned commissioning activities.

The suitable candidate must have:
  • Understanding of the structure and operation of NHS and Independent Provider Organisations.
  • Understanding of key workforce metrics that apply to Provider organisations.
  • Understanding of Safer Staffing rules and their application.
  • Ability to assimilate and interpret data.


Day to day tasks include:
  • HR/Workforce Planning, workforce forecasting
  • Investigating patient safety indicators with workforce indicators/staffing levels
  • Working within the CCG quality team to look at patient outcomes and their relation to staffing issues
  • Developing strategy/reports from up to date national guidance, Board report writing
  • Successful relationship building, engagement with senior teams on multi sites
  • Working at a senior level to be confident / experienced to attend provider Clinical Quality Review meetings (CQRM) to ask Directors/CEOs questions to gain assurance on safe staffing levels
