Role: Financial Crime (2nd Line) - AML Specialist SMELocation: East Midlands
Duration: Until 31/12/15
Rate: £500-£700/day
The role holder will have oversight of all risk and control for the client's anti money laundering (AML) team:
- The role holder will act as Subject Matter Expert on the client's AML risk and control framework within 2nd line and to 1st line stakeholders..
- The role holder will lead on AML Policy and Standards development and refresh for the client globally.
- Accountability for identifying and highlighting emerging trends in AML through close monitoring of complex Management Information, risk events and risk assessment escalating where appropriate to Senior Business leaders.
- The role holder will be responsible for all training, monitoring, implementation and reporting relating to AML for the client
I am looking for candidates with the following experience:
- Detailed knowledge and practical application of AML (anti-money laundering) and sanctions regulations in a UK Financial Services (ideally credit card or retail banking) environment
- Must have experience working in a 2nd line Financial Crime team, proving oversight and guidance to first line teams relating to risk and control frameworks, policies and standards
- Experience writing policies and standards for AML
- Experience interpreting new regulations around AML and anticipating/advising of impact on the business
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
