Highly motivated civil design engineers, with a range of experience levels, are needed to provide their expertise on a long-term project.
Main duties will include:
- Developing and delivering civil engineering solutions from feasibility to detailed engineering designs for transmission networks projects (132kV and above).
- Providing detailed engineering specifications and designs for projects, effective technical support and input throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensuring civil engineering designs and construction practices are in accordance with current legislation, policies and operational requirements.
- Preparing basic and detailed engineering specifications and designs for concrete foundations, steel structures, drainage, and buildings associated with networks transmission projects.
The company are a global leader in Transmission & Distribution, Construction, and Civil Engineering sectors, and have long-term contracts within the UK T&D sector to fulfil.
The skills required for the role are varied, and include some but not all of the following:
- Civil or Structural Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Skills in use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the job.
- Requirements to undertake short trips away from home as required.
The client will pay from £30-£45 per hour, dependent on experience, and the contract will be for 12 months initially. The work will be based in Glasgow.
