Description

Working within the Supplier Enablement Team within a leading financial services firm, you will manage the enablement of selected and agreed suppliers/merchants for acceptance of commercial payment solutions to aid the "speed to spend" of major corporate and multinational clients of Global Commercial Payments' who are implementing commercial payment solutions.

You will agree the customer segmentation strategy internally and externally with corporate clients to establish contact approach. You will develop customer communications, to work with customers' resources who manage supplier relationships. Working directly with clients as well as colleagues in Implementation and other teams, the role holder will provide guidance, best practice and leadership on supplier strategy and communications to maximise the programme whilst focusing on ensuring a profitable return for the business.

You will manage supplier take-up through database management and work closely with Global Payment Acceptance, external Payment Service Providers (PSP) and customer resources where support for supplier recruitment is appropriate.

As an itinerant worker (home based) you will attend regular meetings at client premises around the UK and potentially Europe.

Key Skills

  • Proven track record in Sales
  • Good overall understanding of the payments market, especially B2B sectors
  • Experience in managing large and complex projects
  • Knowledge of Corporate procurement and finance practices
  • Strong communication skills, articulate with the ability to operate and present at board level (both internally and externally with clients)
  • Ability to consolidate and analyse complex information in order to identify creative new ways of working and innovative solutions to problems
  • Knowledge of Commercial Cards business (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Payment Acceptance/Card Acquisition business (desirable)
  • Experience in a client-facing role working in the business-to-business environment
  • PC literate with advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Language Skills (desirable - French, Italian, German or Spanish)
  • Full UK driving license
