Financial Accountant, Financial Reporting, UK GAAP

My client, a leading multinational Pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join on a long term contract. The role is responsible for assisting the Manager of Performance Analytics and Planning, in providing reporting and analysis of the financial performance of the Group, both historic and forward looking, to show the trajectory of the Group's business performance and deep analytics on management external reporting. The role is based in London (as part of the central group division), as a direct report to the Manager, Performance Analytics and Planning.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Group's outlook tracker and timely updates to senior management
• Production and analysis of external set of financials for Group's forecast and Budget views
• Production and analysis of detailed external set of financials for Group's external reporting and managing restatements for external disclosures.
• Manage and review monthly actual submission process including interaction with various countries, group and business stake holders.
• Assist Manager in running/completing the Group's management forecast process
• Liaison with dedicated oversees support team on above activities
• Ad-hoc analysis as required on business performance for senior management

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree level education or higher
• Recently qualified accountant
• Strong analytical skills
• Works well under pressure and able to hit hard deadlines
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and in writing
• Previous management or financial reporting experience in financial services/banking
