Description
The client is a large Financial institution in Luxembourg requiring a Unix/Linux Security Expert to help in the implementation of the various projects in this area, as well as for the BAU activities (Baselines, hardening, etc.)
Tasks/job description:
- Support organisations Linux Security initiatives (Hardening, Compliance Check, Security Baselines, Reporting)
- Translating Security Policies to low level technical controls
- Technical Policy/Standards/Guidelines writing
- Recommend, implement and document Security processes and settings in the Unix/Linux area
- Support project for Cloud Implementation Project (datacenter automation)
Experience:
- 4-6 years experience in IT security & system administration
Qualifications & mandatory skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux security technologies (Hardening, Monitoring, Logging)
- Good experience of Technical Policy/Standards/Guidelines writing
- Strong experience of translating Security Policies into low level technical controls
- Good knowledge of Virtualised environments and datacenter automation tools & processes
- Knowledge of typical Middleware application is a plus (JBoss, Apache, etc.)
Additional skills:
- strong command of English (mandatory)
- fluent knowledge of French and/or German considered as a plus
Essential inter-personal skills:
- Ability to work with international teams and to travel on a regular basis (to Germany/Eschborn mainly)
- Excellent negotiation skills
