Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer (Maternity cover) to join our Living Places business unit to work in Southampton.
Main duties:
- Provide support to the Senior Engineer and deputise as required.
- Assist the sub team technicians in developing skills and experience.
- Promote the principles of health and safety leadership within the Minor Works & LTP Team by setting good examples to the sub team.
- Work with the Senior Engineer to ensure that the Minor Works & LTP Team are informed and motivated to ensure the service objectives are met in the most efficient and effective manner.

- Good team worker and able to forge good working relationships with other teams.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to travel to multiple site locations.
- Ideally educated to a HNC/HND with professional membership.
- Either Incorporated or working towards becoming Chartered
- Experience and understanding of working on and off the public highway on construction sites.
- Experience and understanding of civil engineering contracts, CDM regulations, and risk.
- PC Literate and knowledge of MS suite ie Word, Excel, Project etc.
- Knowledge of Autocad, Keysigns and Windes
