My client, a leading Tier 1 Bank, is looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to assist in the development and delivery of our a new Group Retail function with specific focus on robust commercial management through a deep understanding of value drivers
Overall Job Purpose:
- Support the Senior Commercial Manager in the development and delivery with specific focus on robust commercial management through a deep understanding of value drivers and ensuring our business approach/strategy is commercially sound
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Banking Operational Risk Framework and internal banking Policies and Standards
Required Experience
- Good experience of Commercial and Financial management including P&L management and business case production.
- Demonstrates and can influence others on the key drivers of the financials and which drivers to track to deliver the learnings from pilots and rollouts and to feed into the P&L
- Strong internal and external experience in senior stakeholder/supplier and customer relationship management
- Demonstrated experience at Product and/or Marketing manager or equivalent level in a major retail financial services organisation
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of segment analysis techniques (including transactional, behavioural and attitudinal analysis)
- Experienced practitioner in value based management techniques
- Strong understanding of segmentation and the external customer market
- Extensive knowledge of Group/UKRBB Strategy, Operating Structure/Interfaces/business processes and knowledge of product set.
- Deep knowledge and practical experience of Business Disciplines (eg Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT).
- Strong knowledge of the UK retail banking marketplace.
- Strong conceptual thinker with ability to translate this into pragmatic recommendations
- Strong knowledge of market trends and key financial drivers of FS P&L management Excellent knowledge of Commerce and Finance including Profit and Loss Accounting and Value Based Management
- Strong knowledge of proposition design and development, processes and concepts relating to product strategy, and pricing.
