Description

Job Title: - Contract Software Systems Engineer
Electronic Warfare modelling project
3 months
*Call to discuss the rate*

Purpose of role:
- Work in a lead role on a team to report on a study activity relating to EW modelling and scene generation.

This activity has two initial steps:
- Capture user requirements (now completed), and propose and review architectural options for implementation. The architectural study does not include coding or specific design, rather the objective is to determine feasibility by system analysis and review of existing technology. The period of involvement is up to 10 weeks, subject to skills and experience. Candidates must be prepared to work on site and must have British citizenship. This may lead to a permanent position subject to skills and/or future contract awards.

Experience
- Software systems engineering
- Distributed systems architecture
- Systems research and analysis
- Hardware/software architecture selection and design
- Proven experience in delivering results on time and to budget

Knowledge and Skills
- Engineering/physics background
- Excellent demonstrable writing skills

Desirable
- Experience in Real Time 3D modelling for multi role playing games, virtual reality training or scene generation/modelling
- Sandbox game architecture
- Experience of GPU and CPU based solutions for high speed graphics processing
- Experience with Simulink and FPGA targets
- Physics modelling
- Weather/atmospheric modelling
- Understanding of Electro-optical Electronic Warfare techniques
