Description
The Medical Advisors key responsibilities will be to:- Oversee process of Key Opinion Leader management at country and serve as liaison with key opinion leaders on a country level
- Oversee medical affairs activities connected to the respective scientific publication processes, development programs and medical congress activities
- Monitor and communicate country level product strategies for the Business Unit portfolio
- Review and approval of advertising and promotional materials for medical content
- Provides medical support for in- and out-licensing activities when requested.
- Provide expertise for press releases, Q&A, product monographs, brochures and field communications for the Therapeutic Area portfolio and assist in issue management for products
- Contribute to Medical Affairs, Global Development and Regulatory strategy
- Provide medical advice for all study types which are being planned and conducted in responsibility of the Medical Affairs organisation
- Provide support and assist in planning of country strategy for the launch of new compounds and life cycle management of marketed products
Educational and Qualification Requirements:
*Degree in Medicine (MBChB or equivalent)
*GMC full registration
*A BSc, PhD, MD and/or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine is desirable but not essential
*Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience requirements:
- Preferably 2 to 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or related positions (preferred).
- At least 3 years' clinical experience is essential. Familiarity with the therapeutic area Pulmonary Hypertension or Cardiovascular) would be a strong advantage but is not essential
- Experience in the field of maintenance of legal product information (Summary of Product Characteristics and Patient Information Leaflet).
- Knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and relevant aspects of UK and international pharmaceutical laws, standards and codices.
