CRM Data Analyst

Customer Data, Segmentation and Insights

  • Work with the CRM Team and business owners to build and maintain a best in class' customer data schema and segmentation model
  • Monitor the database for duplicate contacts/accounts and merge them ensuring that contacts are associated to accounts
  • Develop standardised naming conventions and ensure that all necessary data fields are populated with correct data
  • Partner business units (Finance/Marketing/Sales etc.) and provide the statistical analysis to improve their understanding of the customer base through insight, segmentation and actionable data analysis.
  • Use these insights to raise awareness of potential and current issues with data quality and where appropriate update the information in the database accordingly
  • Support the CRM Team in the planning, development, implementation and refining of customer marketing lists
  • Promote the framework for consistency in scope, meaning, and handling of CRM data across the entire organisation

Data Analytics

  • Evaluate the data elements making up the sales pipeline and create actionable insights for data owners
  • Ensure all cross-promotion and cross-selling opportunities are explored and maximised
  • Drive efforts to enable internal stakeholders to share knowledge and insights through clear and concise communication, education and visualisation

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor data quality and identify incomplete or poor data using data quality dashboards and reports
  • Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up errors and causes of errors while managing data quality
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement

General Administration

  • Ensure that the organisation's policies and procedures are adhered to particularly in relation to privacy, security, and the handling of commercially sensitive customer data
  • Act as a super user in the CRM Master Data function
  • Act as the main point of contact for queries
  • Provide leave/absence cover for the CRM administrator or other team members

Technical Skills

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other Quantitative Field.
  • 2+ years' experience in data analysis, preferably within a Data Stewardship/Governance role within a CRM or Finance ERP environment.
  • A knowledge of some or all of the following: Visio, MS Sharepoint, MS Dynamics CRM, proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL Server, UI design, web technologies,
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Use of Charts & Dashboards, Business Intelligence/Reporting Tools
  • Advanced analytical skills and an ability to independently explore and understand high volume datasets.
