ERP Business Analyst - 9088- Contract - Bedfordshire - £60 - £65 P/H

The position requires the successful applicant to manage and support a comprehensive SAP environment for the business area. The selected candidate will manage a team of technical professionals covering ABAP Development, SAP Basis Database Administration, SAP Security, and SAP Business Process Configuration

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, implementing and controlling the SAP ERP module areas to meet global and local legal/business requirements.
  • Ensuring all core business requirements are maintained, new business needs are proactively supported, and new SAP functionality delivers business benefits.
  • Assuring comprehensive regression testing is completed before changes are released to the production environments.
  • Collaborate with other IT and functional team members to maintain/apply coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive life cycle documentation required for all SAP support aspects (functional specs, technical spec, data maps, test plans, training documents, interface control documents, job schedules, etc.)
  • Work with internal customers to assess new work and deliver existing projects. Technical leadership of the entire implementation effort during all project stages
  • Assuring compliance with all local and corporate regulatory requirements (MoD, Corporate Information Security)
  • Identifying process specific risks and developing measures to ensure risks are adequately mitigated.
  • Controlling and evaluating interface and conversion process risks from an operational and systems perspective.
  • Collaborating with Information Security resources to ensure control decisions are factored into business process design.
  • Planning, organizing and conducting SAP demonstrations and workshops for key stakeholders, customers, and management.
  • Prepare training plans per agreed upon control solutions.
  • Ability to support on-call and off-shift work schedules.
  • Assess new requirements with clients, hosting workshops to elicit requirements, overseeing the production of requirements
  • Managing projects in line with internal processes, giving feedback to colleagues and management
  • Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance.
  • Review Work upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Recommends modifications to operating policies.

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with the SAP ERP 6.0, Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry, and other related SAP solutions.
  • Experience implementing solutions for Manufacturing and Shop Floor environments.
  • Experience with SAP User Experience (UX) technologies - Fiori/UI5, SAP Screen Personas, ABAP WebDynPro, custom SAPGUI-based ABAP screens.
  • Experience with the ABAP Programming and Workbench environment.
  • Experience with interface technologies - BAPIs, IDOCs, EDI, LSMWs, Odata, SAP Gateway, RFCs.
  • Working knowledge of several ERP business functional areas (FICO, MM, QM, PP, PM, PS).
  • Experience with SAP custom development techniques and output technologies (User Exits, Enhancements, Smart Forms, SAPScript).
  • SAP project and change management experience.
  • Experience with managing a technical support team.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Typical Minimum Education & Experience:

Ideally require Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through extensive professional experience. Will also consider individuals with equivalent experience/combined education.
