My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Engineering Specialist to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of the Charger in support of Electrification. The role shall include definition of requirements, design validation methods, validation testing, system integration and supplier management in accordance with development process.
The successful candidate will report to the Off-Board Charging Group Leader.
* Decomposition and development of both internal and external (IEC, ISO, SAE, and IETF) standards for On-board Charger.
* Design, development and validation of On-board Charger Component using development process Delivery of On-board Charger and support thereafter (Whole life cycle)
* Close liaison with specialist engineers regarding Power Electronics, Communications, Packaging and EMC
* Ownership of requirements for the Charger Component
* System Integration
* Supplier management
Experience Required:
* Power electronic converters (semiconductors, passives, electromagnetic compatibility, control, cooling)
* Electrical enclosures associated materials and degrees of protection
* Development of new design validation methods for Power Electronics and DFMEA for electrical systems
Education Required:
Experience with Plug-in Charging Systems also desirable in addition to:
* Familiarity with relevant regulation and standards
