Introduction: For the printers we are developing proprietary technology. For the new generation of printheads we are developing piezo-MEMS based modules. Having test methods to measure quality and performance of these MEMS modules is important to generate input for the design and manufacturing of the MEMS modules and the printheads.

Within the MEMS printhead platform we have a vacancy for a person to help us improve our ability to measure the quality and performance of the MEMS modules.

Most interesting parameters are within the physics/chemistry domain (FI. particle and film pollution, nozzle orientation) related to droplet formation.

Position's main tasks:
- Design of test methods to characterize quality and performance of MEMS modules
- Provide input for improved understanding of functional interactions
- Provide input into (multi disciplinary) design optimization

Required area of education: Physics/chemistry

Professional skills: Experience with complex measurement set-ups Experience with problem analysis from complex data sets

Behavioural skills: Problem driven, solution oriented Accurate Critical Independent
