Senior Project Manager - Edinburgh. Competitive Salary PackageProgressive Engineering have been tasked by one of our key account to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Edinburgh.
You will be joining a small but innovative engineering team that specialises in the design and manufacture of telecommunication equipment and will be reporting directly to the Programme Manager.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple contracts simultaneously with a value in excess of £5million.
- Manage contracts from conception through to project delivery
- Financial reporting on projects simultaneously
- Ensure that the project time lines and milestones are being adhered to as laid out by multiple contracts
- Liaise with customers, sub-contractors and internal staff to ensure that project updates and time lines are met
- Managing customer expectations and ensure that there are no contract deviations
- Occasional European travel to visit client and subcontractor sites
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in science or engineering related
- Strong technical background in Electronics or physics or managerial experience working on electronic programmes
- Experience of design processes, engineering processes and system processes
- Strong background of "earned value" project management
- Previous experience within a technical environment within the Space, Defence or Aerospace industries
- Proven experience within a Project Manager position within the above industries
- Track record of experience in handling high value contracts simultaneously including total financial control
- Previous tendering experience dealing with high value contracts
