Systems Integration Lead - System Integration, Verification, Land Vehicles

A Systems Integration Lead with System Integration, Verification, Land Vehicles experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Telford.

This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

Overview of the Systems Integration Lead contract role

  • Acting as the Systems Integration lead, typical tasks involve:
    • Manage the effective use of a system integration facility for vehicle design, development and verification.
    • Defining the facility equipment strategy and budget needs to do this.
    • Supporting and testing the introduction of new technologies and designs that are applicable to future vehicle designs and going through the facility.
    • Developing and improving systems integration tools that can be used by all engineering functions.
    • Overseeing required equipment upgrades and overhauls.
    • Ensuring the Systems Integration Facility is available for all planned projects and presentation activities.
    • Ensuring the Systems Integration Facility development processes and practices are Embedded within the company engineering development life cycles.
    • Delivering customer presentations on the use of the Systems Integration Facility within Combat Vehicles (UK).

Key skills required for the Systems Integration Lead

Essential

A Systems or broad engineering training and experience applying systems engineering and integration techniques across a variety of projects where multi-disciplinary integration was required (software, electronic, electrical and mechanical).

Advantageous

  • Computer Science
  • Synthetic Environment visualisation and systems integration.
  • Software experience

The role is based in Telford, Shropshire - commutable from Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Stafford, Market Drayton, Whitchurch and Oswestry.
