Description

Creative studio based in Hertfordshire is looking for a QC Studio Manager to work within their creative services department. This contract position is ongoing and you will be working across blue chip accounts. Our client is looking to hire ASAP on a rolling contract.

Role Description:
To manage and coordinate the Quality Control Department on several large Artwork Accounts.This role is placed within a fast paced Creative Studio which can be high pressured at times. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a conscientious and thorough approach with very strong leadership skills and ability to manage a changeable workload in order to adhere to strict deadlines (SLAs). This will require a candidate who is a clear, concise and empathetic communicator who is also able to prioritise and demonstrate an adaptable approach to the role. Ideally you will have project or task management experience which is not only quality focussed but also geared towards customer satisfaction in terms of delivery on time.

The role places significant importance on team management but also requires some QC input as part of the QC team so familiarity with Artwork; understanding customer briefs, providing mark ups and the ability to liaise with Artworkers and Traffic Managers/Workflow Coordinators is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day task management and coordination of team
  • Staff training
  • Process adherence and development
  • Quality Checking/Proofing of printed, non-printed and digital artwork
  • Mark up of documents

Candidate Requirements:

  • Extremely strong time management skills
  • Excellent task management and ability to prioritise in a fast paced, high turnover environment
  • Familiarity with a strongly process driven environment
  • Ability to follow process and venture opportunities for process improvement and development
  • Knowledge and experience of Task Management software
  • Very good - Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Quality Checking/Proofing experience and ability to provide document mark ups
  • Awareness of the Quality Check process
  • Experience in a Studio environment
  • Ability to lead a team with demonstrable experience of such a role
  • Excellent and confident Communicator
