Description

Medical Information
  • Address medical information enquiries (e.g. telephone, email) from external (e.g. healthcare professionals, wholesalers, patients) and internal stakeholders by handling cases in a timely, accurate and objective manner, with factually robust information in appropriate manner and format.
  • Generate, update and manage local standard medical documents (e.g. scientific letters) for use to respond to enquiries relating to the company's products/activities
  • Product specialist
  • Support and work with headquarters to address medical information matters/issues
  • Identify and collect potential drug safety signals/individual cases and/or product quality issues/cases from any source (e.g. telephone)
  • Available to support reporting, follow-up, reconciliation activities as directed (e.g. for drug safety/product quality)
  • Liaise with the Company Marketing department to maintain the Product Identification Guide for use by the Company Medical Information department.


Requirements

Professional Experience:
  • Previous medical information experience (ideally in a small company setting), including knowledge and experience of the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Product knowledge/understanding
  • Experience in interpreting and presenting both pre-clinical and clinical data to academics and clinical key opinion leaders/trialists
  • Experienced in clinical trial methodology, presenting clinical trials data, and an appreciation of statistical analysis methods
  • Experience of a Medical Affairs environment in a UK pharmaceutical company/affiliate, including marketing and sales functions

Educational Background:
  • BSc, MRPharmS or equivalent qualification


Personal Skills & Competences:
  • Good working knowledge of computers/software (e.g. Microsoft applications) and ability to work with a variety of IT systems.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to integrate in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
