Description

My Central Government Health client is looking for an experienced Agile UX/UI Designer to join their Evidence Resources directorate. The division manages a range of internally and externally facing evidence information and digital services and systems.

Responsibilities;
*Design interactive prototypes according to business, brand, market, and user requirements
*Low-fidelity models to demonstrate viability of concepts
*High-fidelity prototypes to accompany functional specifications
*Develop product concepts and suggest product direction based on design research and functional requirements
*Experience working in an online consumer or business -facing service/organisation developing new functionality and services
Support UI research efforts and recommend visual design enhancements
*Work closely with product management team to understand user needs, evaluate product success and define the next steps for improving usability.
* Deliver a complete user interface to the design team, including visualisation, graphics design and interaction design.
*Develop the domain designs within an agile (Scrum) process

Successful candidate criteria;
*Your portfolio's full of consistently great work across different screens, be they mobile, tablet or desktop.
*Yes, you can craft delightful designs. But you know improving user experiences isn't just about grafting away at the drawing board. You take a broader view - approaching design conceptually and thinking about the whole experience across multiple screens.
*You might tend towards wireframes, user flows and personas. Or layout, colour and typography. And maybe you've got something special up your sleeve, like you're a top Illustrator, motion graphic designer or prototype builder. Our team's made up of a diverse range of people, skills and experience, so we'd love to hear about you and yours.
*Whether you learned your skills on a design degree or on the job, you're comfortable using them to explain design concepts to anyone, no matter how senior or inexperienced. And you know how to balance what the user needs with what's really achievable.
*You're enthusiastic, curious and full of ideas. You keep up to speed with the latest design trends and technology developments. And you're constantly fascinated by what people really need, and how we can create the right experience to give it to them.
*Impeccable and beautiful UI/UX design skills
*Strong illustration and iconography ability
*Strong comprehension and appreciation for innovative use of typography, colour, and layout for digital media
*Understanding of user-centered design principles
*Experience with responsive and adaptive design
*Strong written and spoken communication skills; comfort presenting cohesive design approaches to non-design audiences
*Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other visual design tools
*Knowledge of Agile product management, particular determination of vision, objectives, goals and success criteria

Qualifications Required;
*Master's Degree or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree relevant to the role- ie in web technology, Information Technology, Information Design/Architecture, HCI, UCD, Graphic Design
*A demonstrable understanding and knowledge of current UI best practice and web accessibility standards
