Manufacturing Process Engineer - Senior 6 Month Contract @ £39.00 per hour

The main aim of this role is to provide project engineering support to NPD activity, whilst also been responsible for support to the R&D and the Global Instrument Centre on NPD cost efficiency programmes. To provide Engineering support in the development and optimisation of manufacturing solutions for Additive manufacturing process to include but not be limited to: Process Planning/Methods Engineering Creation of Detailed Manufacturing Routes Computer Aided Manufacture (CNC) Continuous improvement Statistical Process Control Minimum of Degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline.

Practical experience of process and machine development is desirable. Capable of devising, implementing, monitor and manage project plans. Computer literacy especially with respect to Office' based tools including MS Project management, Word, Excel, Visio, Mind Manager, Mini Tab, SPC

Software Experience of validation within a regulated environment (ISO , FDA QSR regulations) This function involves liaising with:

1) Safety & Quality Functions
2) Demand, GSC & Distribution
3) Global Instrument Centre
4) Research & Development
5) Marketing, Customer Services & Sales Representatives
6) External Suppliers of Goods and Services

Skills Required
To ensure that the additive process meets all corporate and regulatory requirements for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
To ensure all manufacturing solutions and manufacturing related documentation is accurate, meet all corporate and regulatory requirements: to include required project documentation including risk assessments/process FMEA's etc.
Adherence to departmental policies and procedures in line with the companies quality systems and standards.
Representing Engineering, within project core teams throughout the organisation.
To carry out such further tasks that may be delegated by immediate management.
Capable of developing a productive working relationship with Manufacturing Operations to define and priorities work tasks.
Experience of working with GMP & GLP (Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practice).

Qualifications Required
Qualified in Process Excellence/Six Sigma type environment.
(Black/Green Belt) Engineering degree or significant relevant experience knowledge of the processes and equipment used in implant and instrument manufacturing
Good understanding of the design process and tools used
Knowledge of CAD/CAM
Experience in FEA, DFMA, FMEA, 6 sigma and Lean
Experience of project management and problem solving
Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements and related standards, with demonstrated understanding of the practical application of these requirements
