Gloss PreSales Consultant | London | initially 12 months Contract

This key position requires the successful candidate to be involved with any and all aspects of the pre-sales process with existing and prospective clients. This includes functional analysis, proposals, pricing, RFIs/RFPs, workshops and demos, contractual documentation contribution and generic product literature oversight.

Should have knowledge of the following and 'PLAIN VANILLA'-The most basic or standard version of a financial instrument, usually options, bonds, futures and swaps.

The successful candidate will have a background in financial technology solutions for post trade securities and/or derivative processing, either within a relevant software/service provider or technology department of an investment bank.

The successful candidate will be primarily focused on Gloss and Gloss-based solutions and services, although also covering PROactive Broker (Tarot).

Prospect Specific Tasks:

  • Formulating functional and technical solution for prospects
  • Identifying functional gaps for prospects and working with development analysts on sizing those gaps
  • Both directly and indirectly (supporting the sales team) building and managing prospect relationships on aspects including product functional, operational, commercial, contractual and strategic elements.
  • Provide review sales proposals to ensure correct level of service representation is pitched with realistic positivity.
  • Provide indicative, detailed and full pricing levels
  • Liaise with Finance Department in providing formal business cases for signed-off deals
  • Handover of materials to implementation team for successful opportunities
  • Coordinate post mortems on selective missed opportunities
  • Gatekeeper for the logging of all prospect-specific documentation (RFI responses, proposals, pricing etc.)
  • Coordinate and respond to RFIs, RFPs, proposal requests, pricing requests
  • Project management of the larger pre-sales opportunities
  • Determine project assumptions, timelines and High Level Estimates for prospect proposals (build and implementation)
  • Maintain basic database of relevant details of all active prospects.
