Senior Customer Project Manager (Acceptance) - Dublin

Overall Purpose

The Acceptance Manager is responsible for executing and coordinating the acceptance activities making sure that the delivery from the program is fully accepted by the customer in accordance to the approved Time Plan and Scope.

Responsibilities

  • To complete formal acceptance of the Rollout Program Deliverables as per Contract.
  • Drive the full acceptance process within the Network Rollout program.
  • Ensure that the acceptance criteria is defined and agreed with the customer prior to start of the implementation.
  • Ensure that the acceptance criteria is presented and agreed with the ASPs before start of the implementation.
  • Ensure that any changes in scope are managed with the Contract Manager.
  • Ensure that the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) and other authorised personnel to sign acceptance protocols and other acceptance documents are identified.
  • Ensure that all measurement targets and processes that enables a high-quality delivery of the NRO (Network Rollout) program are defined and in place and the measurement result well documented.
  • Define the format of the documentation to be submitted to the customer to enable a high-quality delivery of the NRO program and to secure acceptance.
  • Represent the customer project towards the customer for the Acceptance activities as Single Point of Contact (SPOC), managing the relationship in a professional and mutually beneficial way.
  • Ensure competent resources to review the site documentation and assist at site acceptance.
  • Ensure that non-compliance issues are addressed with the ASP (Approved Service Provider) or the internal organisation.
  • Ensure that the progress data is update timely and correctly in Site Handler.
  • Ensure that daily Close of Play report is presented to the Customer Project Manager.
  • Ensure that the documentation is handed over to the customer according to agreed processes including updating of the customers databases as agreed in the contract.
  • Development of Acceptance project budget.
  • Monitoring and Control of acceptance spend in alignment with budget.
  • Highlight any risk to budget over-run along with mitigating factors to senior stakeholders
  • Production and presentation of weekly and monthly reports provided.
  • Set up regular meetings (daily/weekly) with the customer and ASP to review the progress.

Authorities

The Acceptance Manager has the authority required to fulfil the functions, work tasks, and responsibilities stipulated above.

These authorities include, but are not limited to:

  • Make day to day decisions on acceptance matters within the project.
  • Manage the budget for acceptance within the project.
  • Assign work to applicable project delivery units for acceptance activities and have control over the staff assigned to acceptance activities.
  • Represent Ericsson on acceptance related issues towards the customerAuthorities
  • Escalation of acceptance related issues that need management action or support outside the acceptance area.

Main Activities

  • Develop acceptance plan to be part of project specification.
  • Attends regular project meetings with the Project Team members representing all project quality requirements and/or deviations.
  • Continuously compare the results achieved and ensure that results are verified as described in the Project Specification.
  • Monitor project progress and performance.
  • Check that the working methods are adhered to, including performance of quality control activities and measurements, and that the correct tools are used.
  • Interface with sourcing and ensure ASP contracts are supporting the wanted quality levels and address the known problems.
  • FTR (First Time Right) tracking and monthly reporting.

The exact nature and content of each of the listed deliverables above is subject to the project scope of work which is derived from the commercial contract and project plan. Note all documented deliverables must be stored in the Project Library in Eridoc.

Competencies/Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree or Technical College, preferably in telecommunication, science, engineering or business discipline, or proven work experience.
  • Previous experience in network rollout experience preferable.
  • Proven experience in effectively managing subcontractors (ASP/SP) across large projects.
  • Have ability to lead and deliver challenging targets in a high energy, customer centric and performance driven environment.
  • Be fluent in English, both verbally and written.
  • Have excellent planning and scheduling skills.
  • Have experience in implementing Change Requests (CR's).
  • Knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability implement/drive corrective actions and efficiencies.
  • Have good customer and sub-contractor relation skills.
  • Good financial understanding and the ability to manage cost efficient solutions.
  • Have experience of relevant tools like Site Handler preferable.
  • A basic understanding of Radio and Transmission Products
