Overview of the Programme

Global Payments - Payment Regulations portfolio delivers projects relating to regulatory changes to the main payment schemes. There are a number of upcoming changes to BACS, Faster Payments and CHAPS schemes which our client must comply with.

Role Accountabilities

  • Engage key stakeholders and SMEs divisions to identify underlying business needs to be addressed.
  • Translate business needs into project objectives, business goals and requirements.
  • Working within a BA function, within the central project team, alongside IT and Business Analysts and supported by both Business and IT Architects.
  • Ensure trace-ability throughout
  • Collaborative/Team Working: Works collaboratively with other Business Analyst to ensure consistency and alignment throughout.
  • Complete business analysis activities throughout the project life cycle, including associated risks, issues and benefits delivery ensuring compliance with the Group's standards and reporting requirements.
  • Identify any changes to requirements and manage stakeholder expectation to ensure agreement on the solution scope delivered
  • Delivery of various standard BA artifacts including (but not limited to) Trace-ability Matrix, Functional and Non Functional requirements, Use cases, process mapping
  • Internal/External Relationships: Builds and maintains effective working and influencing relationships, proactively and swiftly answering queries and following up actions with stakeholders.
  • People and Self Development: Takes responsibility for self development, actively seeking and providing feedback and responding accordingly.

Essential Skills

  • Roles will be Edinburgh or Bristol based and require demonstrable and detailed experience in BACS, Faster Payments and CHAPS (singularly or a combination of payment types)
  • 5+ years business analysis experience in related Financial Services
  • Good MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and visio knowledge; Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills - ability to make the complex simple
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and logically; Proactive and well organised
  • Ability to work with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong Problem Solving attributes; Strong time management
  • Highly Flexible in approach

Desirable Skills

Useful to have

  • Experience of Rational Requirements Composer
  • Experience of working in a Matrix Management Environment
  • Experience working on projects delivered via a variety of development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, WSF).

Additional Information

  • There may be a need to travel to different locations (within the UK) on a regular basis.
