NHS Contracts Manager - Band 8aI am working alongside an NHS CSU who are looking for an interim Contracts Manager for a period of 3 months.
The role will be focusing on a portfolio of Acute & Community Contracts & you will be expected to lead on these to ensure customer relationships are kept to a high standard.
As the Contracts Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Pro-actively managing the portfolio & be the main point of contact for the customer
- Being the point of call between BI, Finance & Performance teams to settle all contractual matters
- Implementing contractual levers to make sure customer & the CSU are getting best value for money
- Reporting on all contract activity & reporting this back to the board
- Chairing & leading on internal & customer contractual meetings
- Line managing the Contract Support team whose primary focus is AQP contracts
- Ensuring the CSU is always performing & delivering to their contractual agreements
Requirements of the Contracts Manager:
- Highly experienced in NHS Contracting
- In depth knowledge of the standard contract template
- Hands on contracting experience
- Proven background in leading on a varied portfolio of contracts
- Understanding of the financial concepts of NHS Contracts
- Ability to produce reports on activity & present to the board
- Negotiation experience will be useful
- Line management experience
- Experience of Acute & Community contracts will be advantageous
