Regulatory Risk and Compliance Manager
We are currently looking to hire a Regulatory Risk and Compliance Manager to develop and deliver a risk based programme of regulatory and operational risk/key control monitoring, providing independent assurance to the Board on the Company's regulatory & legal compliance and the adequacy of key control design & operational effectiveness for significant operational risks.
Regulatory Risk and Compliance Manager;
Regulatory monitoring - Lead the design and implementation of a risk based regulatory monitoring plan. Plan and deliver regulatory compliance monitoring reviews of business units and third party relationships as required.
Report writing - Deliver high quality reports in a timely manner detailing the findings of monitoring reviews, including recommendations for control improvement addressing both root cause and issue symptoms, giving adequate consideration to the cost of delivery and the size of risk reduction achieved.
Operational risk key control testing - Deliver testing of key controls relating to the operational risks for which the Company holds operational risk capital, delivered over a three year cycle.
Regulatory Development and interpretation - Ensure self and team remain abreast of regulatory change and update testing schedules as appropriate.
Regulatory Risk and Compliance Manager Key Skills/Experience:
- Experience of regulatory compliance monitoring
- Excellent knowledge of Operational Risk/Risk Management more generally including a strong understanding of controls
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in developing competence of staff
- Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
- Sound understanding of testing frameworks
- Ability to work under pressure and to challenge results/others in a pragmatic/firm manner
