Job Title - Hardware Design Engineer
Contract - Initial 6 months
Role
Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will have responsibility for the design and development of a new project for a commercial client. You will be directly involved from the initial design stages through to the completion of the project and will have responsibility for liaising with the layout team.
Skills required:
- Analogue and digital design experience - 5 years minimum
- Consumer electronics design experience
- Experience of design for cost and design for manufacture
- Ability to liaise with the PCB layout team
- Schematics capture and component selection
- Understanding of mechanical design constraints
- A good degree in electronics or similar
Desirable skills:
- PCB layout experience - in Altium or Mentor
- FPGA design experience (VHDL)
- Some firmware experience
