Description
Need to provide continued support in the area of Air Traffic Control (ATC) domain in LOC1, replication, TMD, DAC and coordinate with ATC authorities such as Eurocontrol. This requires a deep understanding of current ACCS implementation as well as current and evolving ATC rules and organization. This post will require close co-ordination with operational users and commands, involved Territorial Host Nations (THNs) and the ACCS contractors in order to ensure the proper harmonization with ATC regulations and monitor adequate subsequent implementation in ACCS.
Activity Details
*Ensuring that ACCS ATC operational, functional and performance requirements capture NATO's operational C2 needs
*Ensuring that operational, functional and performance requirements for ACCS ATC interface, network planning and dynamic network management are properly reflected in the design, implementation and integration, of the ACCS software/hardware;
*Ensuring the liaison with Eurocontrol for ACCS on ATC-related matters such as Airspace Management, Flight Plans, Crossing and Handover;
*Participating in contract milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, contract deliverable reviews and other project meetings;
*Reviewing deliverables arising from ACCS contracts, to ensure that the contractor has correctly interpreted the relevant specifications relating to the integration and harmonization with ATC;
*Ensuring that documented requirements are correctly addressed in test plans and procedures, and test results are produced and analysed to support the, integration and harmonization with ATC verification and validation;
*Monitoring the ATC related engineering activities of related national implementation contracts and advising host nations as required;
