Technical Engineer, Network, Systems, telecoms, ServiceOxfordshire £30 000 - £40 000 + Good Benefits
An Oxford based market leading solutions company are looking for a Technical Engineer to aid in the build of solutions based on a range of current and new products in order to fulfil customer requirements for government and security projects.
The role will require the technical review, procurement, assembly, configuration, test, delivery, documentation and support of solutions, based on a portfolio of advanced technology, coupled with 3rd party kit, to produce a complete implementation.
The solutions will be delivered world-wide, and will require close collaboration with the pre-sales and global sales teams, and as well as other operational teams.
Experience:
2+ years telecommunications or similar technical systems engineering experience.
Working knowledge of data communications, switching and routing, 802.XX, TCP/IP and Layer 4-7 concepts and protocols.
Awareness of the factors influencing the design and implementation of video transmission systems, radio networks, computers, servers and individual high-tech products for specific purposes using standard protocols.
Basic working knowledge of IP networking (Ethernet and WiFi) principles, e.g. IP addressing schemes, network masks, routing etc highly desirable.
Experience setting up CCTV and surveillance system desirable
This role will require SC clearance so applicants must be eligible for this.
