Description

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • This position is for the design of heavy structures.
  • Research, design, develop, manufacture, test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
  • As a Systems Team Engineer, you will be a key contributor in the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes in New Product Introduction.
  • You will contribute to the planning and delivery of assigned projects in your Team area of concentration.
  • You will have to work with adjacent systems designers to insure compatibility of designs and help determine and meet specific timelines for completion of designs.
  • Provide technical systems designs, on any of several machine platforms.
  • Assist in the Development of system specifications
  • Work in a Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD) environment within NPI design execution
  • Design of new and leveraged systems concepts/designs

Skills and Competencies:
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics, and computer generated reports.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field.
  • Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, and must be a subject matter expert in the area of heavy structures design.
  • Candidates must have strong analytic and problem solving skills, proficiency (3-5 years) in 3D modelling tools (ProE/Creo), and experience with NPI machine design.
  • Previous experience working with or onsite at client is highly preferred.
  • Candidates should have long-term work experience with progressive experience.
