Principal Credit Risk Analyst is Contractrole working in Westminster, London for 12 Months initially. We are looking Principal Credit Risk Analyst for our public- Finance sector client.

Job Title: Principal Credit Risk Analyst

Location: Westminster, London

Duration: 12 month's initially

Essential Experience:

  • Production of independent credit risk assessments for corporates, banks, airlines and project finance cases based in the UK and in emerging markets, which includes:
  • rating and LGD analysis
  • advising on acceptable exposure levels
  • assessing risks in various industry sectors
  • Grade 7s would typically look at any particularly complex or unusual cases
  • Presentation of risk assessments to Client RC or to senior managers.
  • Work allocation and prioritisation for the team. Review credit risk assessments from team members and ensure they are of sufficient quality for RC. Advice, guidance and coaching to team members as needed.
  • Line management of team including setting objectives, training, coaching, managing performance and appraisals.
  • Review financial information for all initial enquiries. Grade 7s provide advice on whether a case is likely to meet the minimum credit risk standard and if not, to suggest mitigants.
  • Review of post-issue cases, which includes advice to the Post Issue Management (PIM) branches on waivers, reviewing performance against covenants, updating ratings and input into recoveries and provisioning.
  • Development and delivery of new or revised credit risk policies and risk frameworks
  • Advice to senior managers/RC/other colleagues as required on areas of expertise such as airline risk, project finance, oil and gas industry, petrochemicals etc.
  • Face to face negotiation with industry professionals as required. These include, lawyers, banks, overseas buyers, business analysts, engineers, marketing analysts etc.
  • Attendance of and input to customer presentations, international term sheet negotiations and technical meetings as required by different cases
  • Organisation of external training for RAD and other colleagues
  • Preparation and delivering sessions on RAD and credit risk matters through presentations and workshops
  • Credit risk training and personal development activities
