Electronics / Hardware Engineer - Contract - 3 months - WorcesterI am currently recruiting an experienced contract Electronics / Hardware Design Engineer for an initial 3 month project for an excellent, innovative company in Worcestershire.
The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of efficient hardware solutions, from the initial concept, circuit design right through to test & production of new designs. This will include the requirement to carry out PCB layout work on designs developed. The successful candidate will also be expected to oversee the technical production, working with manufacturing/project engineers.
The ideal Electronics Design Engineer, will have experience in using Embedded, Micros, PCB design and will need the following skills and experience:
- Good understanding of Electronic Circuit schematic design
- Experience of using PCB layout software to ensure an efficient, safe and reliable PCB layout is achieved.
- Good understanding of Power supplies - specifically batteries, chargers etc.
- A good understanding of electronics components, board level electronics and experience in the processes, assembly techniques and testing.
- Hardware knowledge and background to compliment the embedded expertise, both analogue with a bias towards audio & digital electronics with an emphasis on embedded.
- Design debugging from prototype parts
- Generating documentation for design and development activities
You will be responsible to ensure that all designs are validated in accordance with product requirements, fit for purpose and conform to current regulations including EMC.
You would need to be eligible to work in the UK.
There is a further project to work on a Fuel Level Sensor for a project that will be kicking off at the end of September which will mean an extension of the contract.
