Modis are urgently recruiting for a well known multi national Electronics components company that urgently require an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer for a 6 month contract to assist them on multiple projects.
The successful candidate will be based at their European Design Centre based near Oxford supporting the design, development and delivery of electronic components to their European customers, primarily in the Automotive industry.
Technically, the successful candidate will be experienced in analogue and digital (board level) electronics design, proto-typing, EMC testing and debugging and the role will also entail meeting with Customers in Europe, so not only is the willingness to travel essential but also experience in a customer facing role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical
*Analogue/Digital board level design
*PCB Design (Schematic and Layout)
*Board level testing
*Electronic devices/systems design experience
*Experience of EMC/ESD issues and good design practice
*Electronics engineering support for the successful design and development of LCD modules and opto-electronic components (LED, camera modules) and devices.
Essential: Must be comfortable delivering presentations and reports and reports to European Customers as well as colleagues in the clients Japanese Headquarters.
Other aspects of the role include:
*Management of custom design from business win to mass production launch for key customers
*Preparation of technical offer during RFQ process
*Providing technical support towards automotive customers and internal engineering teams
*Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of electrical designs within the Automotive Industry.
