My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Electrical Systems Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
The client's diagnostics team's mission is to ensure that their technicians worldwide are guided to the correct repair from the customer symptoms they enter and the diagnostic information in the vehicle. Successful candidates may be involved in any of the following areas:
(1) Reviewing and developing the diagnostic specifications of the vehicle
(2) Analysing the performance of the diagnostic tool in the field using data from real world customer repairs
(3) Developing diagnostic flows and procedures using this data
(4) Developing diagnostic applications for the tester.
Skills Required:
Detailed understanding of one or more areas of automotive electronic systems ie body, chassis, powertrain, comfort, hybrids, etc.
Ability to plan and deliver project work accurately under pressure.
Excellent IT skills including crucially analysing data using Excel
Skills Preferred:
Experience of Automotive Diagnostics
Experience Required:
Experience working with automotive electronic systems in either a design/development or quality role
Education Required:
Degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering.
Additional Information:
Position will be based at Gaydon but candidate will be required to travel to other sites - Whitley, Castle Bormwich, Solihull, Halewood and also suppliers. Candidates should have an appropriately insured vehicle (expenses will be reimbursed)
