Role: Optoelectronics / photonics engineer
Location: Reading
Rate: £35 - £40 per hour
Duration: 6 months
An exciting start up is evolving rapidly and therefore seeking an optoelectronics engineer.
You will be joining the Photonics development team where you will be responsible for the development of Semi-conductor equipment and fiber/ optoelectronic equipment..
This is an extremely niche marker and you will have support from the design team but will also have ample opportunity to demonstrate an innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
To be considered for this role you will need to have good communication skills as well as a degree in a relevant discipline (Physics, Electronics, Optics Etc.), the role will also require an understanding of component level design and a few years industrial experience.
Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers desirable:
* Optical communications (highly desirable) * Strong team player * Exceptional time management and interpersonal abilities
