Description
One of Roc Search's key clients, an established and successful global supplier of high specification equipment for the rail industry currently have a vacancy for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer. This position will involve providing technical support to specific product lines as well as the implementation of lean processes.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
* Communication within the product line on technical issues.
* Proactive generation of required documentation for new product introduction and Update load/progress via weekly review meeting.
* Input and maintain accurate data in SAP regarding all routes and methods.
* Develop all cells within product line company guidelines for screwing, gluing and greasing.
* Maintain the working environment in line with recognised standards and tools.
* Input to Continuous Improvement activities.
* Design and development of specialist assembly, test and packing production equipment/tooling
* Strive to promote and install material flow principles
The successful candidate will have a good base in mechanical engineering so a HNC/ONC Mechanical Engineering is essential.
