My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Market Analyst/Engineer to join their Powertrain division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
A high-performing Market Analyst/Engineer, well versed in the premium automotive sector, is required to gather competitor intelligence related to fuel economy and develop credible visions of the future.
C02 reduction and improved fuel efficiency are two key goals that drive our client's ambitious plans for the future.
This role is focussed on using market intelligence, technology trends and legislative understanding to predict the competitive and compliance landscape for future vehicle models with the aim of shaping the business strategy and providing early warning on threats and opportunities.
Identifying and delivering the improvements required is a key challenge faced by the Performance, Efficiency and Driveability (PED) team.
Experience Required:
Experience in data processing, manipulation, graphical presentation, quantitative analysis with a willingness to develop these skills
Some knowledge of Automotive Vehicle Engineering Principles
Capability to comprehend large amounts of data and translate into clear and precise direction
Experience Preferred:
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Product Design, Market Research or demonstrably related subject
Proactive attitude to work and able to deliver under minimal supervision
Project/Programme Management experience
Knowledge of Fuel Economy/CO2 improving principles
Automotive Attribute Experience - Powertrain system design/development understanding Experience of environmental legislation
Demonstrable experience of building wide reaching networks across an organisation to facilitate information flow and decision making
