My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit a EDS Module Planner to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Rate: £22.35 p/h Ltd

Position Description:
Responsible for creating and maintaining the Module Plan, Deliver Module health status.
Prepare papers/presentations for various management and escalation reviews, organising and facilitating meetings, monitoring tasks and plan delivery and module status reporting.
Coordinates events with other module planners to ensure constituent support is maintained and escalates issues where appropriate

Skills Required:
Project management skills.
Responsible for the management and delivery of timing plans and critical project elements within the PC&D Delivery Framework.
Will need to interact and work closely with many other business functions and Suppliers.
Able to work with large amounts of data and to work to tight deadlines in a high demanding area. Supports a mixed team of skilled OEM and Supplier Engineers in the design, development and delivery of EDS and has a customer mind set internal and external.
Ensures meeting attendance at key meetings, eg CMM and prepares supporting documentation, eg PACN.
Responsible for commodity interface to external teams including Electrical and other CoCs (Body, Powertrain, Trim etc.) Marketing Sales and Service (MS&S), Manufacturing Parts and Logistics (MP&L), Prototype and Production Operations, Program Office etc.
Organised and able to influence.
Able to present technical issues/status at senior reviews and to work to tight deadlines in a high demanding area.
Supports the delivery of the EDS commodity including cost, weight, quality and functional performance.

Skills Preferred:
Self starter able to sustain a high, multitask workload.
Combine Engineering with business skills.
Good communication skills and leadership.
Must be computer literate, excel, word, Powerpoint and easily adapt to company specific systems (previous knowledge in WERS, AIMS, RMDV, ECR s would be a benefit but not essential as training can be provided).
Ability to work within a team or alone with exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail. Must have good presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate to all levels within the company (production line to director level).

Experience Required:
Previous work within a multidiscipline Engineering team.
Experience of technical problem resolution.
A knowledge of System validation processes.
Must be computer literate, excel, word, Powerpoint and easily adaptable to company specific systems (previous knowledge in WERS, AIMS, Efdvs/RMDV, ECRs would be a benefit but not essential as training can be provided).

Experience Preferred:
A working knowledge of Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes are desirable in order to support the review of feasible product actions, and so ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.
Experience of Automotive Engineering design, development and delivery.

Education Required:
Degree in an Engineering or related discipline preferred

Education Preferred:
Programme management

Additional Information:
Travel between West Midlands sites will be required.
Mainly working in Gaydon with some time based in the prototype and production manufacturing plants.
