Description
My client, a well-known telecoms company is currently looking for an experienced field engineer to work on a project to replace their customers' Legacy Cisco 3750 devices with new 29xx devices across the following locations;
Spain, Italy and Morocco.
You will be required to do the following tasks;
- Unpack of equipment, removal of packing materials from site and disposal.
- Rack and stack of site HW in accordance with site design documentation
- Intra cabinet cabling (within the cabinet, not between cabinets)
- Power on testing and DOA checks
- Enter of node start up configurations to enable remote access
- Support acceptance test plan execution
- Creation of as built' documentation to record serial numbers etc.
- Liaison with the Project design team to resolve any onsite technical issues encountered
Key Requirements for this role;
- Experience of deploying Cisco Components
- Experience of Cisco Project delivery and solution design process and documentation
- Experience of Cisco contractual engagement model-PSOW, PO, invoice and CR's
- Ability to provide SC technical resources
- They will be a mixture of 24 and 48 port Switches
- Work will be completed out of hours evening/weekends
- Equipment will be shipped direct to customers location and on site before arrival
- Single sites in each city
- There are Comms rooms in Office locations but not at the DC locations
