Electronic Design Engineer

The Company: Leading aerospace company
The Role: Contract electronics engineer or lead Electronics engineer
The Duration: 6 months
The location: Birmingham
Rate: £35-£45ph

A number of electronics contracts, a mixture of Electronics Design and lead Electronics engineers have become available in Birmingham.

Overview:

The Electronics Engineer role involves the technical responsibility for the electronic design and development of engine and airframe control products to meet the customer performance specification and business objectives.

The person:

Technical knowledge of both analogue and digital circuit techniques would be useful as well as knowledge of the latest electronic packaging design techniques to meet aerospace installation and certification requirements, a thorough understanding of environmental requirements and their effects on the design,. The role also demands a high degree of self-management with good interpersonal skills and be capable of effectively interfacing with the customer and all members of the department.

Responsibilities:

The Electronics Engineer has technical responsibility for assigned work packages, alongside a team, to assure the electronic design meets its performance requirements through analysis and test, satisfying the appropriate airworthiness requirements. This could involve any or all of the following: EMC, components, thermal, vibration and material for design support, analysis and assurance testing of the product.
There are also positions for Lead electronics engineers to be hands on but also take a lead role in certain aspects of the current projects.

Preferred skills and experiences:

*VHDL
*Circuit integration
*Analogue and digital design in a highly regulated environment
*Familiar with manufacturing process capabilities to meet DFA and DFM requirements
*Requirements capture, preferably using DOORS
*Power conversion design
*Aerospace experience

Based just South of Birmingham, you must hold or be eligible for UK SC clearance.
